Terms of service — GigSpares
Last updated: 3 September 2026.
1. What the Service is
GigSpares ("the Service", "we", "us") watches specific Ticketmaster events you ask it to watch and tells you, via Telegram, the moment resale (and where supported, primary) inventory appears — with a direct link to the listing where one is available.
What it is not: it does not buy, hold, reserve, or resell tickets on your behalf or anyone else's. It never touches your Ticketmaster account. It is an observation-and-notification tool, nothing more, and this sentence is deliberately load-bearing — it appears in the marketing copy too, for the same reason.
The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Ticketmaster. It reads publicly served pages and endpoints; see the technical notes in this project if you want the specifics.
A safety note, unprompted, because it matters more than it sounds: we do not sell tickets, are not a resale site or exchange, and never will be. If anyone contacts you directly — by message, email or otherwise — offering to sell you a ticket outside Ticketmaster's own checkout, that is not us and should be treated as a scam. The only link you should ever act on is the Ticketmaster link inside the alert itself.
2. No guarantees
- We cannot guarantee you will get a ticket. Resale inventory is scarce and contested; an alert reaching you does not mean the listing is still available by the time you act on it. Several attempts across several Ticketmaster events is a normal outcome, not a service failure.
3. Your account
- Telegram is your identity. There is no separate account, no email signup, no password. Whoever controls the Telegram chat that started the subscription controls it.
- One subscription is for one person. The Service does not generate shareable subscription links, and a forwarded link does not activate a second subscription on the same payment. This is a deliberate design choice, not a bug.
- We never refuse a subscription request for an event you ask to watch. Sold-out or limited-availability status changes what we poll proactively on our own budget; it is never a reason to decline your request.
4. Subscription and billing
- Three plans, all covering the identical service — there is no feature
gating between them, and no free tier or trial:
- €15 per month
- €39 for three months
- €120 for a year Prices are in euro and include any VAT that may be due. The longer plans exist because a gig is usually months away, not because they unlock anything.
- How you pay: by card, on Stripe's checkout page. Payment and card handling are performed by Stripe on stripe.com; this website never sees or stores your card details. After paying you connect the subscription to your Telegram chat with a one-time link — the link works once and expires, which is what keeps a subscription personal to you.
- Plans renew automatically at the interval you chose, until you cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for: the next charge is stopped, and alerts run until the paid period ends. Cancel any time from Stripe's billing portal (the "manage" page on this site, or /cancel in the chat) — no cancellation fee, no minimum term, no form, no waiting on an email reply.
- Lapsed subscriptions keep their watch list, so coming back does not mean re-entering every event by hand — but no alerts are sent while lapsed.
4a. Your 14-day right to cancel, and how it ends
Because you are buying online you have a statutory cooling-off right. Here is exactly how it works, including the part that ends it.
- You have the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason. The period runs from the day the contract is concluded, which is the day you pay.
- To cancel, tell us — any clear statement will do. Email hello@gigspares.com or say so to @GigSparesbot. Sending your message before the 14 days are up is enough.
- You ask us to start immediately, and you accept what that means. At checkout you expressly request that we begin providing the Service straight away, and you acknowledge that once it has begun you lose the right to cancel. We capture that consent at the point of purchase: before you can pay, Stripe's payment page asks you to tick a box that reads "I expressly request that GigSpares begins providing the Service straight away, and I acknowledge that once it has begun I lose my right to cancel." Stripe records that you ticked it, with the time, and so do we. Your cooling-off right ends when the Service starts — which is when your Telegram chat is connected and we begin watching your events.
- If you cancel before the Service has begun, you get a full refund to the card you paid with, within 14 days, at no cost to you.
- If you have not given that consent and you cancel within the 14 days having already used the Service, you pay a proportionate amount for the cover you received and we refund the rest.
4b. Refunds
Subscription fees are not refundable once the cooling-off right has ended as described above. Cancelling stops the next charge; alerts run to the end of the period you have already paid for, and there is no partial refund of a period already under way. You keep what you paid for, and you are never charged again after you cancel.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory right you have that cannot be excluded.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't use the Service to build a competing alert product on top of our alerts.
- Don't attempt to share, resell, or sublicense access to your subscription.
- Don't attempt to use the Service to automate ticket purchases; it is not designed for that and this would misuse both this Service and Ticketmaster.
6. Availability
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis by a small, actively-developed operation. It may be temporarily unavailable — including, at times, unavailable specifically because Ticketmaster is rate-limiting or blocking requests, a condition outside our control that we manage conservatively (we back off rather than push through it). We do not guarantee uptime and this is not offered as a mission-critical service.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is." We are not liable for missed tickets, listings that become unavailable before you complete a purchase on Ticketmaster's own site, or losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Irish law.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, non-payment, or attempts to circumvent the one-subscription-one-person design. You may stop using the Service at any time by unsubscribing or blocking the bot.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. The Service is operated by GigSpares.
Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish or EU law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
10. Changes to these terms
Material changes will be announced via the Telegram bot before they take effect, not applied silently.
Cancellation form
You do not need this. An email saying you are cancelling is just as valid, and so is a message to the bot. It is here because it has to be available, and because filling in a form is easier than composing a message for some people.
